Indoor temperature, atmospheric pressure and relative humidity (in D1 building of Wroclaw University of Technology) measured remotely by energy-harvester-supplied sensor system (arduino/BME280/nRF24L01+/ESP2866).
Uses maxbotix sonar sensor to measure distance to a car. We take 9 readings 10ms apart and calculate the median. This is the number reported here every 30 seconds or so.
We will use these data to calculate traffic congestion on the road.
This tracks a Twine sensor (supermechanical.com) configured to monitor the position of the waste bin lid on my cat's LitterMaid box (littermaid.com). If I forget to empty the catbox, the Twine notifies me via text message when the bin is full.
My Worm Farm
Wakes up every 15mins, turns on GPIO13 to power soil & air sensors. Takes readings, turns off 13 then turns on WiFi and sends data to ThingSpeak. React & ThingHTTP trigger IFTTT to issue alarm on my phone. Then ESP.deepSleep for 15min.
